How To Prepare for your signing
What To Bring / What to Check
Bring the entire document, not just the pages that need to be notarized. The Notary is required to confirm the document is complete.
Bring required identifying ID for each signer.
Bring required stipulations (if any) to be returned with the completed documents (such as checks, copies of photo ID, pay stubs, etc.).
Bring any witnesses required to the signing.
Check to make sure the name on the ID matches the name on the document for each signer.
Check to make sure all signers understand what they are signing and will be signing of their own free will.
Check to have all questions about the details in the document (such as loan terms, loan fees, legal questions, etc.) answered prior to the signing appointment. The Notary IS AUTHORIZED to explain the general purpose of a document. The Notary IS NOT AUTHORIZED to explain the specific details in a document.
